Vinyl Grading Scheme

All used records are cleaned and subsequently graded using the Goldmine record grading scheme. Condition for each record will be assessed using the criteria outlined below:

Vinyl Record Condition

Mint (M) Sealed

Near Mint (NM) Looks essentially new, maybe played once or twice.

Very Good + (VG+) Very good condition, no audible scratches. May have some faint or light non-audible marks or in and out wear. Should play clean with minimal surface noise.

Very Good (VG): Good playable condition but has some wear, possibly a few marks or very faint scratches. Should play well with some surface noise.

Good (G) Playable, however has marks and scratches. Will most likely play with surface noise

Vinyl Sleeve Condition

Mint (M) Sealed or in original shrink wrapping

Near Mint (NM) looks brand new. No dents, writings or tear.

Very Good + (VG+) overall good, clean condition. Will show some small signs of use. No major dents or tears. May have small amount of writing on the cover such as name. No holes or discount cuts.

Very Good (VG) Average overall condition as it will show signs of wear and tear. May have a hole punch, discount cut on a corner or writings.

Good (G) Album artwork still recognizable, but the sleeve is not in the best condition. Will have tears, rips, dents, writings and cuts.

Note: All records come cleaned using a professional vacuum record cleaner. In addition, all records purchased besides those that are marked final sale are guaranteed to come in a standard 3-mil polyethylene inner and outer sleeve.
